Study description:

In the present study, we will investigate the effect of portion size on energy intake among domestic dogs. Two researchers will visit your dog and you at home at the time that you normally feed your dog. On each visit, the researchers will measure out a different portion of your typical dog food to feed your dog. This will be a standard portion, a large portion, or an extra large portion (the order of these portions might be different). We will video the dog whilst he/she eats and measure how much food is left over after he/she is finished (if any). We will also ask you to fill out some questionnaires about your dog’s behaviour. We will also measure the ‘Body Condition Score’ by looking at it and feeling its body, and photographing your dog.
